Hey Mr. Hornsby, Purveyor of Fine Musicness, I have tried writing songs, just for the fun of it. Creativity feeds the soul, makes one feel unique and special. You know, that song is from my heart, from me, helps me feel real. Anyway, seems that the great tunes and catchy words rolling around my head come to me at the most inopportune times. You know, while driving down the road, sitting in a meeting, etc. Any advice on how to save them for later recall. Actually, seems to me that the music comes easy and those words, not so easy. Which is easier for you and how do you know you're not recalling someone elses tunes buried in your subconscious? On that note do you realize that the intro to "The Road Not Taken" sounds a whole lot like the old traditional song, "Old Dan Tucker?" Anyways, Still a big fan and appreciating the product more and more each day. Sorry about the multiple questions on this post. ;)

Hi Bruce, Thanks so much for reading so many of these little messages. I was at your show in that bizarre yet quaint little town of Chautauqua, NY on Aug 8 and wanted to say thank you for such a great experience. Wish you guys could've played all night. That concert marked the 20th Anniversary of my first exposure to you: I remember sneaking my parents' copy of your first album up to my bedroom so I could listen to it uninterrupted... you moved something in my little 8-year-old spirit! I'm now 28 & your music hasn't left my side since then. (And I still have my parents' tape.) Anyway, at the concert I realized that I'm one of thousands who deeply appreciate what you bring to all of us. Thanks for having shared yourself with us for so long. Hey Bruce, Sorry I missed your tour this year but I'm sure you will be in the SF bay area in the next year. Anyway, I have played piano since I was 3 (on an old 1920's Howard Upright Grand which I still have) and I love your style & sound. My question is, do you ever play the song "Every Little Kiss" at any of your performances? I know the song is dated with the lyrics, but I love that intro & main riff. I have never seen you play it or seen any live performances of that tune. Well just curious, thanks for all the years of great shows & albums. You are classic man! August

"sampling is a musical technique that allows those with superior recording equipment to emulate those with superior musical skill"- I used my sampler to loop the begining piano intro to 'Harbor Lights'. Just love that melody.
